The 1U Rack-Mount Kit meets all RoHS compliance requirements and is available in both SCSI and USB interfaces. Both offerings hold up to two half-height internal tape drives. The SCSI enclosure supports a range of tape technologies, including DAT, DLT VS, and half-height Ultrium, with a maximum capacity of 800 GB per backup session using two Ultrium 448 drives (assuming 2:1data compression). The enclosure can support up to two separate SCSI buses, allowing tape drives to be configured for best performance. The new USB enclosure supports both DAT 24, DAT 40 & DAT 72 USB tape drives with a maximum capacity of 144GB per backup session when using two DAT 72 USB drives.
